Super busy

Well it was a super busy week. I haven’t slept a full 8 hours in a few days now hahah. It’s always one thing after another here in the office. I am currently in Manta for the day. We came to verify houses and stuff.

But the coolest thing that happened this week was transfer meeting with president. The spirit is super strong in those meetings. President receives lots of revelation for where he should send his missionaries.

I don’t know what else to say. Maybe the pics i sent will tell a little story or two! anyways gtg. we are goin back to Guayaquil right now. Love you all! Bye!

Well Igot transferred again. Just to start off, my Pday won’t be Monday anymore. It’s Saturday. It’s because I’m in the mission office now. I’m working as Assistant to the President. It’s pretty cool. I have gotten to know President in a different way. We had zone conferences this week so the whole week we were traveling. I had the blessing to travel with President Santos all week. It was super cool. I got to know the whole mission and I got to know president in a different way. He’s super smart and funny. He honestly reminds me a lot of dad.  He knows a ton about the scriptures. He likes soccer a ton. He is a super good listener. He is goofy like dad, his sense of humor is exactly like dads. I realized that this week, but it’s awesome. I talk to President daily so that’s an upside!

I’m in the office with Elder Salas and Elder Collante. One is from Peru and the other is from Chile. We are presidents right hand. We do the transfers, take informs of all the missionaries. We train the whole mission. We visit the whole mission to see how things are going. We basically represent president and we help him control the mission. My favorite part of my new calling is being close to President. He is so smart. it’s honestly like being with dad. He has taught me a ton this week. I was in the car with him for about 8 hours this week and we talked a ton. It’s a really cool gig to see how the mission runs. It takes a lot of work. I’m sure I will gain a lot of experience here with president.

But anyways l’m super tired. I have come to realize that as an assistant, we don’t really sleep in our own beds. hahaha I’ve slept on ratty old matresses all week. haha! But oh well i love it. I get to help tons of missonaries. 🙂

But anyways if you have questions let me know! 🙂

Love you

Slow week, temple, zone conference

Well it was a fast but slow week, I honestly don’t know how that works…. But we had tons of things to do this week. We went to the temple on Tuesday, On Wednesday we had zone conference, and on Thursday they gave us shots hahahaha. Oh and on Monday we went to presidents house to have a Family night.

We were really down with the investigatores this week. We only had 2 come to church in the whole zone. But we have some good ideas for this week and conference will help us.

But this transfer is goin by really fast. Christmas is comin fast. \

I honestly dont know what to say hahaha. I always forget what happened during the week. Got tons of stuff on my mind. Let me know if yall have questions. 🙂

Love ya.

Tired

Well it was a pretty good week. We had leadership council and it was really good. I learned a ton. But honestly after that it was just a blur. My comp was super trunky and sick so it was a pretty slow haha.

But all is well because he got transferred. I’m now with Elder Villegas. Hes from Bolivia. He is younger than me in the mission. Im training him as a zone leader now. He’s cool, he was in my district before in Salado.

But anyways we have a baptism planned out for the 16th. His name is Abraham. He an older dude. He lives a lone and has had a pretty rough life. But he is progressing really quickly and wants to be baptized super badly.

President Santos came to our ward yesterday to train the ward mission leaders. It was really cool. He trains really well.

The sisters from my MTC district finish their missions this week, so thats weird….

Temple Day

Wow this week was probabaly the best week of my mission. I was blessed to have the privlage to go to the temple and witness a sealing of a family that i taught in Salado. It was probably the most spiritual experience I have had on my whole mission. I was actually one of the witnesses for the ordanance. It was amazing.
It was cool because Alexandra (the mom of the family) had no idea I was going to come. She was super happy when she saw me.
But we have leadership council with the mission tomorrow. It’s actually a really cool experience.
I am seriously dreading the end of my mission. The sealing made me want to stay out here longer. It scares me that one day im going to have to leave this place.
Now I really understand the type of love Christ has for each one of us. I feel that kind of love for the people of Ecuador. They drive me crazy sometimes but I love them so much and I don’t want to leave them 😦

Records

This week was a really good week for the zone. All the missionaries worked really hard and we broke a zone record, we had 15 people come to church in the zone. it might not seem like much but its a record for our zone. it was really cool because it was Stake conference. We had a 70 come and his talk was really cool. All the investigators were sitting up front. So they all had a great expereince.

But the weather was super hot this week which is alarming. Because that means that the rainy season might come early this year. 😦

But anyways i hope y’all enjoy the eclipse. I wont get to see it, Its super cloudy. So yeahhhhhh 🙂

Love you all Sorry its short but i have to do some informs :/

Multizone

It was a super super busy week. We barely had time to work in our sector. It started out with an invasion in a different zone. It’s where we go and contact the crap out of a neighborhood. We knock on all the doors of a sector.  And of course we had to be the first ones there and the last ones to leave. But we have been super busy. We were in our own sector for 3 hours in total this week.  I like helping the other missionaries, But wow. I’m exhausted all the time…

Then we had MultiZone conference. It was really cool but the training they did was exactly what they did in leadership council. So i was a little bored because i had seen it all before haha.

Then after that my comp got sick and was in bed for a whole day and then all Sunday we were in meetings with the stake president and going to meet the investigators in the zone. So it was pretty rough.

But anyways this week was really slow in our sector, we didn’t have anyone in church. But this week we will be sure to have a Baptismal date set for September

Crazy only 6 months left… 😦 going by way too fast.

Garcia Moreno

Well it was a pretty exhausting week to be honest. Being a ZL is really just tiring. And not because im working a ton in my own sector but because i have to work in other peoples sector too. I have tons of responsabilities. It’s lots of fun and I love my comp a ton but it just tires ya out.

The zone is really cool. We are blessed to have some really good DLs here. And all the companionships get along really well. We are lifting this zone up a ton. This zone usually is really low for baptisms because its very touristy and there aren’t tons of houses but we are really working hard and helping the missionaries out.

I had to give a talk yesterday. It was a really good experience. I got to introduce myself to everyone and its nice because now they trust me a little more. And that’s important here because if you don’t get references you don’t baptize. There are about 120 members in this ward so it is nice to get the referrals from them.  It is also a very affluent area so they cook really well.  The food we are eating is good.  They have a KFC here and it is really really popular. There are a lot of white people here in this area.

My comp is named Elder Gonzales he is actually my Grandpa in the mission. He trained my trainer so we have lots of fun talking in the streets and we get along super well.

Anyways love you all. Tell everyone hi for me!
